Light Scratch Prevention

Scratches can come in all shapes and sizes from scuffs on the bumper to vandal damage on the doors, there are multiple variations of these but none more numerous than those light scratches caused by keys opening a door or by light contact of a sharp object when passing a panel. All these types of damage can be prevented if you just keep in mind the tips below

Opening a Door

When you open your car door try not to let your key ring dangle while you rotate the key in the lock for this will cause scratching underneath where the locking mechanisum is. by holding your keys away as you turn the key and grip the handle you will be completely free of scratches in that area. Most cars these days have key less entry so just make sure you put those keys back in your pocket before you open the door.

finger nails can also be a cause of light scratch damage for when you grip the door handle you will run your nails around the grip and scratch the under side of the handle, so try to either cut those nails or take care when opening the door.

Driving

When driving you might have to get close to bushed in order to let vehicles pass, try not to get too close for some branches can be sharp and will inadvertently scratch your car.

Parking

If you park in a busy area and squeeze your vehicle in a tight spot you will always get a member of the public who just cant resist and will be drawn to walk between the gap of your car and another. this pedestrian as they pass might slightly graze your car with a hand bag, zip or even button resulting in light damage in that area. Best thing to avoid this would be to park as far away from everyone else and not near any thoroughfares.

TestimonialsRepair ProcessesCar Body Repairs 4 Less have many satisfied customers, here's what some had to say;

Dean did a de-rusting job on my beloved 14 year-old Peugeot 406 a few weeks ago. Excellent job, done with real care and attention and far more perfection on the tricky paint-matching job on the bonnet than I was looking for. All this, and a bubbly, warm character too. Heartily recommended. Paul Tilson
